So far with this project, the main problem has been getting everyone working. Especially after the long Christmas break.
Due to meetings being missed by some members of the group, it has left us slightly behind as to where we should be.
However, after looking at this i have made a new schedule. So far it is working. This film really is a team effort and if even one person is not 100% it could hurt the film.
My goal ultimately is to have a film i am proud of and that other people enjoy.
As of the first week of February i am aiming to get everyone together at least once a week to have full days working on the film together as well as the time working at home alone. This seems to be helping. By working together we can support each other and try to really work as a team.
Sometimes working alone small problems may arise. However if we work together it is often much easier to get these resolved.
By Using Google Calender, i have set key dates. These are for group meetings or for key pieces of work. Keeping to the deadlines is important in ensuring our film is completed to the highest standard.
So far we seem pretty good at sticking to the dates. This however is only in the last week or so. Previously deadlines were not being met by some team members. Hopefully now we are organised it should see for a significant improvement in the work.

Merchandise
In order to raise awareness of our film. We have create a poster design which we can print and get put up around the college. This will introduce people around the college to our film and hoping start getting people to wonder what it is and ideally create a slight buzz around the film. ( thats the idea anyway...)
We have included both main characters on the poster However the poster doesn't give much away and we are hoping this will encourage more people to see the film, so they can find out for them selves.
Like most film posters we have included "Coming Summer 2012" This way people who see the poster will have some idea of when to expect the film
As well as the Poster we have designed a T-shirt. It features the same design as the poster. By using VistaPrint we were able to get these printed. We also had the design printed on Mugs and Stickers.

By wearing these around College we are hoping to further intrigue anyone who sees them and possible get people asking what it is etc.
By keeping this side of things fairly simple we hope to help the film rather than hinder it. It could have been easy to get carried away in making merchandise rather than actually working on the film.
Broadcast Quality
In order for our film to be of Broadcast Quality for the degree show, we had a lecture that informed us of the guidelines we would need to follow.
In the past i have not really had much experience of these guidelines. However as we plan to show our work at the degree show it will be necessary. In the past i have had issues when it comes to having the correct settings for compositions. This has lead to work not looking as good as it should do.
Often the problem is rendering in the correct size. For this project we will be using HD1080
In order to achieve this we will need to use settings of 1920 x 1080.
We will also have to keep an eye on the colours we use so that no "illegal colours" are used. We can see the colours available.
Sound levels must also be within the required fields.
For these guidelines we will be using the BBC Technical Standards.
It is important to stick to these guidelines. For instance using to many flashing lights could cause seizures amongst some people.
Luckily enough the programs i will be using should help us stick to these standards as many have built in options.
For instance we will be able to use premier to insert the Clock and sound test before our film.

Professional Skills
For this unit i will be working on a film called Fools Gold.
There will be only four of us working on the film so team work will play a huge part in whether we are successful or not.
Fools Gold is the only film any of us are working on. We believe this gives us the best chance of making it as good as possible.
In Previous Units it has been hard to concentrate at times due to other commitments however This time I'm hoping that by careful planning, All work should get done as and when it should do.
